Robert A. “Bob” Brandon, Sr., 69, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 3:32 AM in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana.
Robert was born in Columbus, Ohio December 27, 1946 to Melrose and Hattie Erline (Sims) Brandon.
He and Mary Brenda Waites were married February 3, 1969 in Milford, Indiana. Robert lived most of his life in the Warsaw area.
For 47 years Robert was an accident free truck driver who drove for various companies including Sun Metal Products, Inc., Creighton Brothers and Midwest Emery Freight. He also owned and operated his own truck for a period of time.
Robert enjoyed fishing and plowing snow. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left with memories to treasure are his wife Mary Brenda (Waites) Brandon, Warsaw; daughter: Kay Brandon of Etna Green, Indiana; 2 sons: Robert A. Brandon, Jr., Warsaw; and Paul (and Lisa) Brandon of Mentone, Indiana; 3 grandchildren: Kayla Ludwig, Etna Green; Travis Ludwig of Barbee Lake, Indiana; and Taylor Brandon of Mentone; 4 great grandchildren: Zoey, Josh, Madison and Colton; sister and brother-in-law: Laura and Phil Smith, Warsaw; 3 sisters-in-law: Sally Brandon, Columbus, Mississippi; Carol Brandon and Erma Brandon - both of Warsaw; and brother-in-law: Colie McCool of Pierceton, Indiana.
In addition to his parents, Melrose and Hattie Brandon, Robert was preceded in death by 3 brothers: David Brandon, Walter Brandon and Kenny Brandon; 2 sisters: Edna McCool and Rebecca Brown-Johnson.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing Saturday, January 30th from 11 AM – 1 PM in TITUS FUNERAL HOME, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. A service celebrating the life of Robert A. Brandon, Sr. will follow beginning at 1 PM with Rev. Dudley Waites officiating. Private family burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in Robert’s memory be directed to the family and will be used at their discretion. Please make checks payable to Mary Brenda Brandon.
