Robert Ray Dew, known to many as Bobby, was born on June21, 1953, in St., Missouri to Willam Hubert and Pearl Marie (Clemons) Dew. He spent much of life in the Saint Louis area primarily residing in Granite City, Illinois. Bobby passed away peacefully at home in Warsaw, Indiana, on September 8, 2024.
Bobby was proud to have served a term as County Commissioner in Madison, Illinois.In his later years, he enjoyed working as Parking Lot Attendant and in Parking Lot Maintenance.
Family was very important to Bobby, and he made it a priority to stay connected with them. He rarely missed a birthday or holiday, ensuring that he fostered those relationships. Known for his conversational nature, he had a gift for making friends with seemingly everyone he met. Bobby was a Christian and consistently offered his help to those in need.
He is survived by three sisters: Pat Lowe of Wewahitchka, FL; Carrie (Gerald) Dykes of Wewahitchka, FL; and Shirley (Bob) Cerny of Troy, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in passing by three brothers, two sisters and his parents.
