Robert Eugene “Bob” Cripe, 85, of North Webster, IN passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at his home. He was born on July 30, 1925 in Milford, IN to Roy E. & Rosie R. (Weldy) Cripe.
He was a lifetime Kosciusko / Elkhart County area resident and attended New Paris & Nappanee public schools. On January 21, 1950 in New Paris he married Evelyn R. (Hickman) Harris who preceded him in 2003. He retired on January 1, 1982 from Bixel Paint Corp. in Warsaw after 21 years and was formerly employed at Sudlow’s Pier Shop in Syracuse. He was a member of North Webster Church of God where he served as an usher and chairman for the Sunday Morning Men’s Prayer Breakfast for many years.
He is survived by:
2 Brothers – Douglas Cripe of Goshen & Phillip Cripe of Nappanee.
He was preceded by his parents, wife, & 2 sisters – Dorothy Losee & Flossie Losee.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011 in the Salem Cemetery, 11188 325S, Larwill (Wilmot), IN with Pastor Dennis Judy of the church officiating.
Memorial bequest may be given to North Webster Church of God, P.O. Box 313, North Webster, IN 46555 or Senior Primelife Enrichment Center (SPEC), 301 N. Main St., North Webster, IN 46555.
