Robert Frederick "Bob" Schmidt, 42, of Leesburg, IN passed away at 10:46 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, IN. He was born on August 7, 1969 in Arlington Heights, IL to Robert A. “Bob” & Mary L. (Gunder) Schmidt.
He graduated in 1987 from Fremd High School in Palatine, IL and from Purdue University in 1991. He worked in Chicago, IL in various sales positions and moved to the Leesburg / North Webster area in 2009 from Chicago. He loved sports of all kinds and his favorite teams were the Cubs, Bears, Boston Red Sox and Purdue. He was also a great swimmer, water skier, golfer & tennis player. He attended North Webster Church of God.
He is survived by:
3 Daughters – Tatum, Talyn, & Tyler Schmidt all of New Hampshire
Parents – Bob & Mary Schmidt of Leesburg
Sister – Catherine “Cathy” Schmidt of Leesburg
2 Nephews – Raymond & Christian Schmidt of Leesburg
Grandparents – Ron & Carol Di Renzo of Mt. Prospect, IL
Private family services will be held at the Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating. Memorial bequest may be given to Robert Schmidt Family, 77 EMS T6 Lane, Leesburg, IN 46538.
