Robert L. "Bob" Friddle

Robert L. “Bob” Friddle, 87, of Leesburg, IN passed away at 2:52 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Goshen Hospital in Goshen, IN.  He was born on June 9, 1930 in Indianapolis, IN to Lacel Fay & Eva Lavonne (Munden) Friddle.

He graduated in 1949 from Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis, IN and was a United States Air Force veteran. On June 15, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN he was married to Patricia J. “Pat” Flanagan who survives.  He retired in 1986 from AT&T after 35 years in the telephone industry. He was raised in the Indianapolis area, lived in Kokomo, was a summer lake resident since 1962 and moved to Leesburg / North Webster area permanently in 1984.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in North Webster, Telephone Pioneers of America, and was a former Ham Radio Operator. He and his wife formerly delivered Mobile Meals for many years in North Webster.

He is survived by:

Wife – Pat Friddle of Leesburg

Daughter – Connie (Robert) Whikehart of Avon, IN

2 Sons – Robert “Bruce” (Patti) Friddle of Cumberland, IN & Duane (Tomi) Friddle of Leesburg

9 Grand & 8 Gt. Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at North Webster United Methodist Church, 7822 E. Epworth Forest Rd., North Webster with Pastor Byron Kaiser officiating. Burial will follow in Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
