Robert M. "Bob" Kaufman

Robert M. “Bob” Kaufman, 76, of Goshen, IN (formerly of Syracuse, IN) passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at his home. He was born on June 10, 1937 in Anderson, IN to Leland A. & Geneva M. (Ellis) Kaufman.

He attended North Webster High School, was a United States Navy Veteran, and was married on June 10, 1961 at the North Webster Church of God to Sharon Ann Losee who survives. He was formerly employed at Coachman in Middlebury & Elkhart for 10 years and prior to that for Levernier Custom Crest Car Productions, Inc in Syracuse. He also delivered newspapers for the Goshen News for 12 years. He moved to Goshen 15 years ago from Syracuse.

He formerly was a member and attended the Church of the Brethren in Syracuse.

He is survived by:
Wife – Sharon Kaufman of Goshen
Son – Tim Kaufman of Shipshewana
3 Grand & 5 Gt. Grandchildren
Sister- Norma Moser of Syracuse
2 Brothers - Jim (Patricia) Kaufman of Syracuse & Billy Kaufman of Ft. Wayne

He was preceded in death by his parents, son- Terry Kaufman, brother-Leland Kaufman Jr., 3 sisters- Bertha Gentry, Dora Krieg, Helen Fite.

Visitation will be from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 on Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Brad Cox of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel in Syracuse officiating. Military services will follow the funeral at the funeral home by the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster. Private family burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery.
