Rodney Lee "Rod" Blackburn

Rodney Lee “Rod” Blackburn, 59, of Goshen, IN passed away at 3:21 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2020 at his home. He was born on March 5, 1960 in Goshen, In to Marshall & Vivian (Ratliff) Blackburn.

He lived most of his live in the Elkhart / Goshen area, attended Elkhart Community Schools, and was a United States Navy veteran. He was married on October 16, 1982 in Goshen, IN to Cynthia D. “Cindy” Marner who survives.

He loved fishing, hunting, golfing and especially spending time with the family.

He is survived by:

Wife – Cindy Blackburn of Goshen, IN

3 Daughters – Miranda Blackburn of Goshen, Candice Blackburn of Goshen, and

Monique Blackburn of South Bend

3 Grandchildren – Lyric Blackburn, Davien Blackburn and Justice Gipson

He was preceded in death by his parents – Marshall Blackburn & Vivian Adkins.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. No services will be held. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN is in charge of arrangements.

Preferred memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
