Roger Allen Paysen, 69, walked into the waiting arms of Jesus, Friday, September 11, 2015 at 7:24 PM at his Silver Lake, Indiana home.
Roger was born to Harold and Elnora (Fleming) Paysen May 11, 1946 in Celina, Ohio. He was a 1964 graduate of Celina High School.
He entered the United States Navy March15, 1966 in Lima, Ohio and served during the Viet Nam Conflict. En3 Roger Allen Paysen was honorably discharged November 28, 1969 in Bainbridge, Maryland.
Roger would take Kathie Stone as his wife when they were joined in marriage September 26, 1970 in Warsaw, Indiana.
Roger lived most of his life in Kosciusko County. He worked for Zimmer for 25 years retiring April 1, 2015 as a polisher.
A member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, Roger taught their adult Sunday School class. He loved his lab, Patches. But it was Kathie whom he enjoyed spending time with and loved the most.
He will greatly missed by his family including Kathie his wife of nearly 45 years; 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law: Chad (and Ashley) Paysen of Osceola, Indiana; Ryan (and Aimee) Paysen of Jacksonville, Florida; and Travis Paysen of Seattle, Washington; 1 daughter: Stephanie Paysen, Warsaw; 11 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; family friend: Fred Rosbrugh of Columbia City, Indiana; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law: Ken (and Wilma) Paysen, North Carolina; and Richard (and Ann) Paysen of Columbus, Ohio; and lastly his only sister, Carol Elder of Indianapolis, Indiana. Roger was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing as they console one another Tuesday, September 15th from 3-7 PM in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw AND 1 hour prior to the service at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church (125 Fawley Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580) which will take place Wednesday morning at 10:30. Pastor Glen Hughes of the church and Rev. Bob Brown of God’s Highway to Heaven will officiate.
Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana where military honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #149 and VFW Post #1126.
The family has asked that gifts in Roger’s memory be given to Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, 125 Fawley Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
