Roger D. Carey, 84, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 8:05 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Lake City Place in Warsaw, IN. He was born on October 27, 1932 in Huntington, IN to Russell D. & Arlene L. (Prough) Carey.
He graduated from Huntington High School and Huntington College. He retired from the Huntington County Community Schools as a 6th grade Social Studies Teacher after many years. He lived in Huntington most of his life before moving to Warsaw, IN in 2015.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Huntington and was a board member & volunteer for the Salvation Army in Huntington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister – Nancy Burchard, and brother – Bob Carey.
Cremation will take place at the Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Gardens of Memory in Huntington, IN. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN is in charge of arrangements.
