Roger William Peterson, 65, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 8:07 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Goshen Hospital. He was born on August 15, 1955 in LaGrange, IN to Robert William & Nancy Lou (Whetten) Peterson.

He graduated in 1973 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse and lived most of his life in the Syracuse / Milford area. He was married on June 19, 1976 in Milford, IN to Susan K. “Sue” Nyce who survives. He was the owner / operator of Peterson’s Fish in Syracuse and formerly owned Dairy Point in Ligonier.

He is survived by:

Wife - Sue Peterson of Syracuse

Daughter – Sonya (Ryan) Taylor of Syracuse

Son – Chad (Jill) Peterson of North Port, AL

4 Grandchildren – Ben, Mya, Aubrey, and Madison

2 Brothers - Rodney "Pete" (Brenda) Peterson of Syracuse and Rick (Anne) Peterson of Ligonier

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Private family graveside services will be in the Milford Cemetery with Pastor Brad Cox officiating.
