Ron was born on May 16, 1934 in Richmond, Indiana. He was the son of Virgil and Gladys Virginia (Henley) Jones, both of whom preceded him in death.
Ron was united in marriage to Gretchen Morgan on August 29, 1960. The two met in Elkhart where they made their home for many years. While there, Ron worked for W.W. Ron was a hard worker who loved his family dearly. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a staunch patriot. He enjoyed fishing, especially when his children were young, taking them on many excursions near their home. He was a fan of John Wayne and collected eagles of all types. He loved the freedom of a motorcycle and was a fan of Harley-Davidson. He was formerly a member of Kosciusko County ABATE, Atwood Lions Club, American Legion Post 49, and Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Left broken hearted is his family: wife, Gretchen Jones of Warsaw; sons: Bob (Patti) Jones of Andrews, IN, David (Becky) Jones of Lafayette, IN and Dennis (Shanon) Jones of Warsaw; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Senters; brother-in-law, Jim (Cathy) Morgan of Middlebury and sister-in-law, Linda Morgan of Kokomo. Two brothers-in-law preceded him in death: Jim Senters and Bill Morgan.
