Ronald Kunkle (Soup Bone) age 74, from Bourbon, passed away peacefully in his home January 14, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Ron was born May 6, 1950 in Mansfield Ohio to Rheta Wuertley and Emmett Kunkle who will welcomed him into heaven with open arms.
Ron married his sweetheart and life partner Christi (Barker) Kunkle on November 26, 1971 they cherished 53 years together side by side welcoming 2 daughters Rene (Ryan) Smith of Virginia Beach and Kelli Thornburg of Bourbon.
Ron was blessed with 10 grandchildren Darren Harrell, and Sierra (Matthew) Hart of Bourbon, Raigan (Preston) Ojeda of Florida, Quentin, Tyler, Natalie, Anthony, and Andrew Thornburg of Bourbon, Jackson and Emersyn Smith, of Virginia Beach, his grandkids all loved and cherished their grandpa dearly along with 5 great grandchildren and another one on the way that unfortunately will never get the chance to know how great their great grandpa was but will definitely be told how much he loved them all.
Ron was an avid football lover who didn’t miss a game. He was a stock owner of his beloved Green Bay Packers and he never missed watching his Ohio State Buckeyes play.
Rons free time he enjoyed restoring cars with many of his friends and he was a dog lover who spent many years breeding and training Dobermans.
Ron was known for his teasing and onery nature there was never a dull moment when he was around and not one good picture would be taken because he would make sure to pinch you.
Along with his immediate family he will be missed by his sister Sharon (Dan) Sturgill, of Warsaw and his brother Gary Kunkle, of North Webster, along with many Nieces and Nephews that will miss him dearly.
