Ronald L. “Ron” Ozier, 77, of Claypool, IN passed away at 6:10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at his residence. He was born October 12, 1940 in Greenup, IL to Leo & Sylvia May (Carr) Ozier.

He gradated in 1957 from New Berlin High School in New Berlin, IL and attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN.  He obtained his Masters degree from Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, MO. He was married on November 14, 1997 in Buffalo Grove, IL to Linda L. Gutermuth who survives. He was a Pastor in various United Methodist Churches throughout Indiana, Illinois, Idaho, and Iowa and retired after over 30 years of ministry from the Methodist Church in 1997.  He was a co-founder of the Isaiah 11 Ministry in Warsaw, IN and was a United States Coast Guard veteran.

He is survived by:

Wife - Linda Ozier of Claypool

3 Daughters – Veronica (Joe Ted ) Edwards, Sharon (Rick) Ellis, and Penelope (Eric) Last

Step Son – Jay (Kristen Britton) Iverson

Adopted son – Bryan Ozier

Adult foster son – Larry Mathis

6 Grand & 7 Gt. Grandchildren

Brother – James (Suzanne) Ozier of Irving, TX

4 Sisters – Jane (Bob) Vineck of Atlanta, MI, Joyce (Tony) Manci of Williamsville, IL, Norma (Woody) Boughter, & Susan Greenfield both of Springfield, IL

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters – Mary Teubner & Marty Ozier, and 3 infant children.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. The family will hold a Celebration of Life gathering at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be given to Isaiah 11 Ministry, 6256 W 100 N, Warsaw, IN 46580.
