Rose A. Sims, 80, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:40 PM in Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw, Indiana.
Born May 3, 1934 in Wisner, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Edward C. and Alta Margarete Louise (Paasch) Braun. She was a 1951 graduate of Wisner High School.
On July 17, 1953 in West Point, Nebraska she and Gerald E. Sims were joined in marriage. He would precede her in death on September 1, 2006.
She worked in customer relations at Stanford University’s bookstore for 25 years.
Survivors include her daughter: Sandra Leiter of Warsaw and granddaughter: Shannon Graff of Leesburg, Indiana. Also surviving are 3 sisters and brothers-in-law: Beth Bernice “Betty” (Braun) Eshliman of Wisner; Judy May (Braun) (Raymond Dennis) Buhram; Trudy Kay (Braun) Nilges, Blair, Nebraska; 3 brothers: Harold Edward Braun, Florida; Clifford William “Shorty” (Corky A. Blumer) Braun; and Melvin Gene (Judy Eyl) Braun, Wisner; and a sister-in-law: Shirley Gene (Mann) Braun.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by twin sisters: Ardel Braun and Mary Braun; and a brother: Delvin Dean Braun.
There is no visitation or service being planned.
