Rosella M. "Rosie" Hardy

Rosella M. “Rosie” Hardy, 90, of Leesburg, IN passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at I.U. Goshen Hospital in Goshen, IN. She was born on January 7, 1925 in Warsaw, IN to Edward E. and Mamie F. (Roberts) Black.

She was raised in North Webster and graduated in 1942 from North Webster High School. On Sept. 22, 1946, in North Webster she married William E. “Bill” Hardy who preceded her on June 23, 2006. She retired in 1987 from Excel Industries in Elkhart as a corporate accountant after 25 years of service. She lived in Elkhart until she moved to Leesburg in 1987 and wintered in Fort Myers Beach, FL for 30 years.

She was a member of the North Webster Church of God and served as treasurer for the Gulf Cove Trailer Park in Fort Myers, FL.

She is survived by:

3 Sons - Dennis R. (Kate) Hardy of Fredericksburg, VA; Douglas J. (Janet) Hardy of North Webster; & David E. (Cathy Katz - Hardy) Hardy of West Lafayette, IN

10 Grand &11 Gt. Grandchildren

Sister- Donna Bevington of Leesburg

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers - Ralph Roberts, Ben, Orlie and Doug Black, 2 sisters- Margaret Black & Shirley Butler and 3 infant brothers.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Boyer of the church officiating.  Burial will follow at the North Webster Cemetery.

Memorial bequest may be given to I. U. Goshen Care at Home Hospice, P.O. Box 723, Goshen, IN 46527. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
