Rosemary Vickery

Rosemary Vickery, 87, of Muncie, IN (formerly of Barbee Lake) passed away at 5:20 a.m. on July 5, 2013 in Mason Health Care & Rehab in Warsaw. She was born on August 8, 1925 in Anderson, IN to Ernest & Louise (Mann) Gooding.

She graduated in 1944 from Anderson High School and was married on August 3, 1946 in Anderson to Arthur Joseph Vickery who survives. She lived most of her life in Anderson; Akron, OH; Barbee Lake & Port Charlotte, FL before moving to Muncie in 2004.  She was a retired waitress at several restaurants, including Holiday Inn in Warsaw, Don’s Barbeque in Anderson & Hilton Hotel in Port Charlotte, FL.

She is survived by:
Husband – Arthur Vickery of Mason’s Health Care in Warsaw
2 Daughters – Nadine (William) Mowery of North Webster & Phyllis Mann of Niles, MI
3 Sons – Robert (Ellen) Vickery of Warsaw, Joseph (Nancy) Vickery of Fort Wayne, & Daniel (Mary) Vickery of Muncie
18 Grand, 33 Gt. grand, & Several Gt. Gt. grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons – Arthur William “Butch” Vickery & James David Vickery, brother – Ernest Gooding & 2 sisters – Erma Jean & Phyllis.

Private family services will be held. Burial will take place in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.

Memorial bequest may be given to the Donor’s choice.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
