Royce Allen Cox, 85, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at his residence. He was born on October 12, 1930 in Warsaw, IN to Charles S. & Helen M. (Zimmer) Cox.
He was a lifetime Warsaw area resident, attended Warsaw High School, and was a United States Army veteran. He was married on January 6, 1951 in Warsaw to Martha J. “Marty” Hodges who preceded him on September 29, 2013. He was formerly employed for the City of Warsaw, Bertsch Vending Services, Main Automotive, AM Hodges Ready Mix Concrete all in Warsaw, and was the former owner / operator of Fun Center Yamaha in Warsaw.
He formerly attended the 1st United Methodist Church in Warsaw and enjoyed attending motocross races.
He is survived by:
Son – Kim A. (Cindi) Cox of Warsaw
2 Grandchildren – Corie (Ken) Strong & KC (Leslie) Cox
3 Gt. Grandsons – Sean, Shane, & Sam
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Oakwood Cemetery, 421 N. Maple Ave., Warsaw, IN with Pastor Cindy Gackenheimer of the Celebration Church in Warsaw officiating. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500 N, North Webster, IN is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial bequest may be given to Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice, P.O. Box 1196, Warsaw, IN 4658. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
