Roy Orvil Caywood Jr.

Roy Orvil Caywood Jr., 96, of Syracuse, IN passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at his home. He was born on April 10, 1924in Mishawaka, IN to Roy Orvil & Helen B. (Jones) Caywood Sr.

He graduated in 1942 from North Webster High School, was a United States Army veteran, and was a lifetime North Webster / Syracuse area resident. He was married on January 20, 1945 in Warsaw, IN to Inez B. Gordon who preceded him on September 6, 2015. He retired in 1980 from Dana Corporation in Syracuse after 25 years of service, was formerly employed at Gatke in Warsaw, and was a farmer.

He was a member of the Church of God in North Webster, Masonic Lodge #705 in Cromwell, and American Legion Post 253 in North Webster.

He is survived by:

2 Daughters – Jackie (William) Kitson & Christine (Dave) Waldrop both of Syracuse

6 Grand & 19 Gt. Grandchildren

Son in law – Larry Weisser of Milford

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and daughter – Sandra Weisser.

Private family graveside services will be held at the Cable Cemetery in Syracuse with Pastor Todd Oesch officiating. No public services will be held. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & Cr 500N, North Webster, IN is in charge of arrangements.
