Ruby F. Howard, 62, of Ligonier, IN (formerly of Warsaw, IN) passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Avalon Village Nursing Home in Ligonier. She was born on June 23, 1950 in Brooksville, FL to Frank & Audrey Emma jean (Perry) Shell.
She grew up in Kentucky and attended public school there. She moved to the Warsaw area about 20 years ago from Kentucky and formerly attended the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in Warsaw. She was formerly employed at Wildman Uniform & Linen in Warsaw & Warsaw Chemical.
She is survived by:

3 Grand, 2 Step Grand, & 6 Gt. Grandchildren
2 Sisters – Annabelle (Cecil) Jarvis of Little Paint, KY & Jamie Sue Shell of Springfield, TN
4 Brothers – Ballard (wife, Dana) Shell of Warsaw; Charles (wife, Pearl) Shell of Allen, KY; Bill Shell of Salyersville, KY; & Frank (wife, Minerva) Shell Jr. of Royalton, KY
She was preceded in death by her parents, son – James N. Collins, & 3 brothers – David, Freddy, & Edgar Forrest Shell.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Memorial services will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Wednesday with Pastor Glen Hughes of the church officiating.
