Russell T. “Russ” Griffin, 74, of Pierceton, IN passed away at 4:20 a.m. on Friday, December 12, 2014 at his home. He was born on May 12, 1940 in Louisville, KY to William C. & Helen C. (Koif) Griffin.
He grew up in the Chicago, IL area, graduated from high school in Chicago, and was a United States Army veteran. He was married on October 27, 1990 in Steger, IL to Karen A. (Weber) Wagner who survives. He retired in 1994 from Prairie Material Services in Chicago, IL as a concrete truck driver after 24 years and moved to the Pierceton area in 1995 from South Chicago Heights, IL.
He was a life member and past commander of American Legion Post 253 in North Webster.

Step Daughter – Kelly Brown of Watseka, IL
Step Son – Clinton Wagner of Chicago, IL
4 Step Grandchildren
Brother – William Griffin of Lyons, IL
Several nieces & nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters – Lois Topefer & Lollie Bonanzio, and 2 brothers – Richard & David Griffin.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the American Legion, St. Rd. 13, North Webster, IN. Memorial services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in the American Legion with Russ Chandler, post chaplain officiating. Military rites will be performed by the Amercian Legion Post 253. Private burial will take place in Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E. 38th St, Marion, IN.
