Ruth Ann Marner

Ruth Ann Marner, 15, of Cromwell, IN passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on August 17, 1997 in Goshen, IN to Timothy L. & Nancy J. (Sparkman) Marner.

She lived most of her life in the Cromwell / Syracuse area and was a freshman at Wawasee High School in Syracuse.  She was a member of the Sea Scouts in Enchanted Hills and formerly attended Calvary United Lutheran Church in Cromwell & Salem United Baptist Church in Rome City.

She is survived by:
Mother – Nancy Sparkman (Dannie Jacobs) of Cromwell
Father – Tim Marner of Elkhart
2 Brothers – Russell Marner of Cromwell & Brian Marner of Topeka
Grandparents – Ruth & Bill Hart of Somerset, KY
Step Sister – Ruby Martin of Claypool

She was preceded in death by her step-mother – Teresa Marner, maternal grandfather – Sampie Sparkman, & paternal grandparents - Claude & Sue Marner.

Visitation will be from 4:00- 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Salem United Baptist Church, St. Rd. 9, Rome City, IN. Visitation and funeral services will also take place in Kentucky with burial to take place at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Pippa Passes, KY.

Memorial bequest may be given to American Cancer Society, 601 W. Edison Rd., Mishawaka, IN 46545. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
