Ruth M. Rose, 72, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 09:35 a.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Kosciusko Community Hospital. She was born on June 6, 1941 in Elkhart, IN to Edward & Eva L. (Kiser) Lock.
She graduated in 1961 from Elkhart High School and moved from Elkhart to the North Webster / Syracuse area in 1968. She worked as a machine operator at GTI in Leesburg, IN and retired after 20 years.
She was a member of the North Webster Church of the Brethren and the American Legion Post 253 Auxiliary in North Webster.
She is survived by:
2 Sons – Brent Rose of North Webster & Brian Rose of Syracuse
2 Daughters – Ronda Sandoval of Syracuse and Robin (Jeff) Davis of Fort Wayne

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother – Sherman “Butch” Lock, 3 sisters -
Harriet Franklin, Joanne Richards, and Pearl Hogue, grandchild – Jimmy Rensberger
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor Harlan Steffen of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Burial will follow in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
