Ryan L. Owen, 54, of Syracuse, IN passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015. He was born on May 20, 1961 in Goshen, IN to Robert L. “Bob” & Jean A. (Moser) Owen.
He was a lifetime Syracuse area resident, graduated in 1979 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse, 1983 from Indiana University in Bloomington, & Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta, GA with his Doctorate Degree. He was married on April 14, 1984 in Syracuse, IN to Vicki L. Evans who survives. He was the owner / operator of Stellhorn Chiropractic in Fort Wayne since 1989.
He formerly attended St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Syracuse & member of several chiropractic associations.
He is survived by:
Wife – Vicki Owen of Syracuse
Mother – Jean Owen of Goshen
Sister – Renita de la Garza of Muncie, IN
Brother in law & Sister in law – Greg & Deb Evans of Holland, MI
Sister-in-law – Sherri Evans-Lawton of Wasola, MO
Niece – Allison Evans of New Orleans, LA
4 Nephews – Graham (Justine) de la Garza of Germany, Benjamin Evans of New Paltz, NY, Dustin Evans-Lawton & Tanner Evans-Lawton both of Wasola, MO
He was preceded in death by his father & brother in law- Mark Evans-Lawton.
Private family services will be held. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington, Syracuse, IN is in charge of arrangements.
