Sandra K. Kimes, 75, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at 2:05 AM in Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City, Indiana.
The daughter of Walter and Ruby (Reed) Seitner, Sandra was born May 27, 1939 in Atwood, Indiana.
She was a 1957 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and a lifetime Kosciusko County resident. Sandra was a secretary at Zimmer; worked several years at the Flag Pole restaurant and at Jet White Grocery.
She married Dallas L. Kimes on October 19, 1964 in Warsaw, Indiana who proceeded. Sandra was a member of First Brethren Church, Warsaw.
She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her 2 daughters: Alycee (Mrs. Cameron) Kissinger of North Manchester, Indiana and Patrice (Chris Patrick, companion) Hygema of Warsaw; her son: Eric (Kara) Kimes of Warsaw: four grandchildren: Ancil Hygema, Gabriell Hygema, Jaxon Kimes and Kenzi Kimes all of Warsaw: three step-grandchildren: Joshua Kissinger, Kaleigh Kissinger both of Fort Carson, Colorado and Jeanell Kissinger of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two sisters: Iris Nuell of Warsaw and Martha (Mrs. Pete) Wuchter of Warsaw. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas L. Kimes on March 20, 2002 and her brother, Carl “Ira” Seitner on May 17, 2009.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in comfort and support of each other Sunday, December 21st from 3-7 PM in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. A service celebrating the life of Sandra K. Kimes will take place Monday, December 22nd beginning at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Pastor Jamy Gregory of Warsaw Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in Sandra’s memory be directed to Disabled American Veterans, 2439 W. 16th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46222 or Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, PO Box 1906, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1906.
