Sandra Jean “Sandi” Martin, 58, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at 9:25 p.m. in Warsaw Meadows Care Center.
Sandi was born May 2, 1958 in Lapeer, Michigan to Gordon Wayne and Beverly (Spencer) Laidler. She was a 1976 graduate of Lapeer East High School.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, watching scary movies and scrapbooking.
Sandi is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Melissa Chase-Ellers and Nicholas Ellers, 5 granddaughters: Breanna Fessenden, Tarynn Chase-Peterson, Annyka Ellers, Savannah Ellers – all of Etna Green, Indiana; and Rachel Fessenden of Russiaville, Indiana; 1 great granddaughter: Bella, at home; sister: Julia Laidler of Trenton, Florida; brother: Wayne Laidler, Davison, Michigan; a niece: Samantha Laidler, Davison; 3 nephews: Levi Sprague of Trenton; Garrett Laidler and Jagger Laidler – both of Davison.
Sandi was preceded in death by her son: Anthony Chase; parents: Gordon Wayne and Beverly Laidler and her former husband and life partner: Butch Martin.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 18th from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. A service celebrating Sandi’s life will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor David Hummel officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in Sandi’s memory be directed to Muscular Dystrophy Association, 314 W. Catalpa Drive, Mishawaka, Indiana 46544.
