Sandra J. Marvel-Barczak, age 71 and a longtime resident of Warsaw, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Grace Village Healthcare in Winona Lake.
Sandy, as most knew her, was born in Wabash on March 29, 1949. She was the daughter of Dean and Vivian (Huffman) Marvel. Sandy was ornery and outspoken but with a soft, forgiving side – especially for her children and grandchildren whom she loved very much.
Family meant the world to Sandy. She loved family get-togethers and enjoyed feeding the family. She is remembered for her cooking, her crochet and her ability to find bargains while shopping. She enjoyed puzzles and playing cards, especially Solitaire.
On October 5, 2005, Sandy was married to Joseph “Joe” Barczak; he survives at home in Warsaw. Also surviving with memories to cherish are children: Lisa (Jim) Rose of Warsaw, Melissa Marvel of Warsaw and Curt (Tabatha) Campbell of Fort Wayne; grandchildren: Brant, Alex, Dakota, Nathan, Skyler, Steven Curtis, Austin and Hannah; great-grandchildren: Arianna, Rhett and Colton; brothers: Tom Marvel, Joe Marvel, Jim Marvel and sisters: Kathy Adams and Becky Marvel. She was preceded in passing by her parents and by an infant daughter, Shelly.
Sandy’s life will be celebrated privately with cremation entrusted to Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw. A memorial service is in the planning stages for a later date.
Those wishing to express sympathy are encouraged to donate to Riley Children’s Hospital, 30 S. Meridian Street, Suite 200 Indianapolis, IN 46204. Written condolences may be left at www.TitusFuneralHome.com
