Sandra Kay Pfaff, known to most as “Sandy,” passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 12:43 p.m. in Fort Wayne’s Visiting Nurse Hospice Home.
Born on April 3, 1945, in San Francisco, California, she was the daughter of the late William Collins and the late Florence (Mikels) (Collins) Denny. Sandy spent most of her childhood in the Logansport area where she attended school and was a baton twirler. She was also proud to twirl as a Junior Golden Girl at Purdue University.
Sandy was lovingly, dedicated to her family as a homemaker and took an interest in sewing and crochet. She also enjoyed puzzles and the fellowship of her bible study group at Tippe River Downs. She admired flowers and gardening, passing time with all kinds of computer games and Facebook.
On April 7, 1963, Sandy and Robert J. Pfaff, Jr. were united in marriage. They shared more than fifty-two years together before his passing on October 5, 2015. Surviving are their daughters: Bobbi (husband, Cary) Carter of Vincennes and Vickie (husband, Greg) Lootens of Rochester and their grandsons: Clayton Andrew Carter of Frankfort, Tyler Lootens of Fort Wayne and Kobe Lootens of Rochester. Also surviving are three siblings: sister, Phyllis (husband, Phil) Drake and brothers, Gaile (wife, Tonya) Collins and William Collins, Jr.
Private graveside services will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Logansport. Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family via their website at www.TitusFuneralHome.com.
