Serita "Kay" K. Lowe

Serita "Kay" Lowe, 87, passed on to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, November 17, 2024. Kay was born on January 17, 1937, to Ruth Wertenberger and Dr. George Kress, both of Warsaw, IN. Kay lived in Warsaw and graduated from Warsaw High School in 1956. 

In 1956, she married Jerry C. Lowe of Syracuse where they lived. She enjoyed her garden and canning. She also worked with the Boy Scouts with her son. Kay was also a member of the American Legion, North Webster, IN, and served in the Second District with Jerry. They traveled to Alaska, New Orleans, Maine, and enjoyed casinos in many locations. 

She worked for Milford Post Office for many years. Kay and Jerry after retirement spent their Winters in Bonita Springs, FL, and the summer months on Lake Wawasee, Syracuse, IN.

Surviving are her daughters: Mary Lowe Aker of Knoxville, TN and Linda Lowe Yoder and husband Steve Yoder of Syracuse, IN; daughter-in-law Sue Lowe of Goshen, IN; grandchildren: Aaron Yoder and his wife Megan of Plainfield, IN, Lauren Benker and her husband Ryan Benker of Mascot, TN, Jamie Aker and fiancé Max Yde of Indianapolis, IN, Kaitlyn Paige Lowe of Goshen, IN, Ryan Roth of Goshen, IN, and Alisha Villegas of Goshen, IN; and great grandchildren: Samson, Julian, Wolfie, Ayla and Meela, Issac, Ellie.

She was preceded in death, by her husband Jerry C. Lowe, son George W. Lowe, brother Lee, cousin Dutch Mullet, and her parents.

Arrangements are with Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1001 S. Huntington Street, Syracuse, IN 46567. The interment will be at McClintic Cemetery, Syracuse, IN, and a Life Celebration will be held next summer.
