Sharon Gaerte Heidt
November 27, 1939 — November 23, 2019
Sharon (Gaerte) Heidt, age 79, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Florida. She was the last living daughter of Grover and Beulah (Huffman) Gaerte and one of seven Gaerte children.
Born in Whitley County’s Thorncreek Township, she graduated from Larwill High School. She spent several years living in the area, in Tennessee and in Michigan before eventually making her home in Florida.
Sharon loved her life in Florida and loved time spent with friends and family. She was a huge fan of baseball, especially the Miami Marlins, a person of faith and possessed a quick wit which she often employed with a smile and a joke.
Surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Shirley Gaerte; a stepson, William Graham; a very dear friend, Sue Allen and numerous nieces and nephews. Those who preceded her in passing included her parents, four sisters and one brother.
Locally, no services will be held. Gifts in Sharon’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. Condolences may be sent to the family in care of Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
