Sharon L. Strickler, of Tippecanoe Lake, passed away quietly at Parkview Whitley in Columbia City on Sunday June 26, 2022, at the age of 75.
Born in Fort Wayne on January 11, 1947, she was the only child of Wilmer and Mildred Goba (Conn). She graduated from Leesburg High School and went on to get her associate degree in business. Sharon was united in marriage to Clayton Strickler on August 2, 1969 and spent over 50 years together, raising their children.
As the very talented artist she was, Sharon enjoyed painting and beadwork. She painted many portraits of her home that her grandparents built at Old Mill Place in 1951. Her artistic abilities were carried on within her family including in some of her grandchildren. Most of all, Sharon loved her family, and they will miss her dearly.
Those who survive with her memories to cherish are her husband, Clayton; children Cary (Lori) Strickler and Jennifer (Del) Bolton; five grandchildren; and six cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents.
