Stanley E. “Stan” Spaw, 76, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 12:05 a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2016 at his home. He was born on October 21, 1939 in Fort Wayne, IN to Wilbur & Louise (Hunt) Spaw.

He grew up in Fort Wayne and attended Fort Wayne Central High School. He was married on December 7, 1962 in Fort Wayne, IN to Carol Ann Hargis who survives and moved to the Warsaw area 45 years ago from Fort Wayne. He retired from Essex Wire in Columbia City as a lab technician after 32 years.

He formerly attended the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne and was a former member at the Eagles Lodge in Fort Wayne.

He is survived by:

Wife – Carol Spaw of Warsaw

3 Daughters - Susan Caldwell of Jacksonville, FL, Sheila Spaw of Warsaw, and Shannon (Mike) Harter of Wabash

7 Grand & 10 Gt. Grandchildren

3 Sisters – Susan Spaw of Fort Wayne, Pamela Meeks of Edgewood, KY, and Renee (Dave) Grim of Fort Wayne

Step Mother – Delores Grim of Gas City, IN

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother – Terry Lee Spaw.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016 Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Linda McBride of Covenant Partners Ministries in Muncie, IN officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN.

Preferred memorials may be given to Great Lakes Hospice, 334 Enterprise Drive, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
