Stephen D. "Steve" Hann, 63, of Nappanee, IN (formerly of Syracuse, IN) passed away at 9:28 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on April 24, 1956 in Elkhart, IN to James William & Virginia Ruth (Grimes) Hann.
He graduated in 1976 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse and lived most of his life in the Syracuse / Nappanee area. He was a former cook at Pizza King in Warsaw & Beacon Restaurant in Syracuse, and formerly drove taxi in Plymouth.
He attended the New Paris Missionary Church.
He is survived by:
4 Brothers – Mike Hann of Syracuse, Rodney Hann of Rochester, Howard Young Jr. of Elkhart, and David Grimes of Goshen
4 Sisters – Deb Manns of Kendallville, Teresa Shriner of Elkhart, Sheila Roberts of Texas, and Blanche Pierce of Kentucky
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother – Melvin Young.
**Due to the current, unprecedented guidelines limiting public gatherings because of the COVID-19 virus, Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled at a later date.** Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN is in charge of arrangements.
