Steven A. "Steve" Anderson. 71, of Syracuse, IN passed away Friday, June 2, 2017. He was born on July 22, 1945 in Columbus, IN. His parents were Andrew and Avanelle Anderson (Barth) and they preceded him in death. Two grandchildren also preceded him in death.
He graduated in 1963 from Elkhart Community Schools and served in the United States Army Reserves. He grew up in Elkhart and lived most of his life in the Leesburg area before moving to Syracuse 3 years ago. He and his children founded Anderson Lawncare in 1987 and he was formerly a contractor for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta (Bobbi ) Anderson of Syracuse; 9 children – Kristi Ormsby and Jodi Cox of Warsaw, Todd, Scott, Greg, Brent, Kyle of Leesburg, Andy of Shelbyville, KY, Lindsay of Haiti, and 26 grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Jay Anderson of Bristol, IN, a half-sister Jackie Brock of St. Paul, IN.
