Sue A. Anders, a lifetime resident of Warsaw, passed away quietly on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 6:30am; she was 77 years old.
Sue was born on February 6, 1946 in Warsaw and was the daughter of Waveland and Evelyn (Funk) Alspaugh. On February 17, 1968, Sue was united in marriage to David H. Anders in Warsaw’s Trinity EUB Church, now Trinity United Methodist Church. Their 51 years of marriage blessed them with three sons, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Professionally, Sue was a longtime employee at Penguin Point, working as an accountant for the company. Sue was an avid bowler and received the honor of being inducted into the Warsaw Bowling Hall of Fame. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and car rides with her husband and spending time outside in the local parks. Sue was known for her love of penguins and delighted in collecting them and bells.
Sue will be deeply missed by her sons, Phil (Sandra) Anders, Christopher (Marcie) Anders, and Troy Anders; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; siblings, Nancy (Ron) Mason, Michael (Angie) Alspaugh, and Debra O'Connell; and sisters-in-law, Peggy Alspaugh and Kitty Alspaugh. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David; sisters, Jo Anne McElfresh and Barbara Polson; and brothers, Stanley Alspaugh and Roger Alspaugh.
Titus Funeral Home is entrusted with Sue’s care. Friends may join family for a time of visitation at the funeral home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00am with door opening one hour prior at 10:00am. Burial will immediately follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
