Sue Jenkins, 82, of Syracuse, IN died at 11:10 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, IN. She was born February 8, 1927 in Fulton County, IL to Charles B. and Willetta (Tracy) Baker.

She attended Forrest High School in Forrest, IL and on January 22, 1944 in Pontiac, IL she married William M. "Bill" Jenkins who preceded her in death on February 13, 1984. She retired as manager of Indian Creek Country Club in Fairbury, IL after several years before she moved to the Syracuse area in 1980.

She was a member of Lakeland Eagles Lodge Auxiliary # 3760 and V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #1342 both of Syracuse, IN.

She is survived by:
4 Daughters - Darlene (Randy) Turner of Alvin, TX, Pam (Chuck) Whitesel of Germantown, MD, Teri (Randy) Lindzy of Pierceton, IN and Kim Kafer of Bloomington, IL;
2 Sons - Mike (wife, Margo) Jenkins & Gary (wife, JoAnn) Jenkins both of Bloomington, IL;
11 Grandchildren & 10 Great Grandchildren;
1 Brother - Burnell Baker of Bloomington, IL;
Special Friends - Betty Nyce & Owen Snyder both of Syracuse.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, Husband, Sister - Bea Runyon & Brother - Larry Baker.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN and from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2009 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, 100 W. Maple St., Fairbury, IL. The Lakeland Eagles Auxiliary will hold a service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home in Syracuse. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2009 at Duffy-Pils with Pastor Ed Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Fairbury, IL.

Memorial bequests may be given to Lakeland Eagles Auxiliary Scholarship Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
