Susie Barber Jackson, 75, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at 3:25 PM at Indiana University Health Goshen Hospital, Goshen, Indiana.
Susie was born September 8, 1940 in Warsaw, Indiana. She was a 1958 graduate of Beaver Dam High School.
On June 22, 1985 in Burket, Indiana Susie became the wife of Larry Jackson. He survives in Warsaw.
Susie lived most of her life in Warsaw. She retired while office manager for Warsaw Black Oxide after 40 years of service.
Susie was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #1126, American Legion Auxiliary Post #49 and Parents Without Partners. She also participated in 4-H.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law: Loni (Dan) O’Hara of Claypool and Heather Phillips of Port St. Lucie, Florida; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law: Ken and Pam Parks of Anderson, Indiana and Michael Jackson of Muncie, Indiana; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 brother and sister-in-law: Dail and Jan Barber, Jr. of Akron, Indiana and a sister and brother-in-law: Buni and Bill Leininger of Akron. She was preceded in her passing by 5 brothers and sisters.
Family and friends will gather for a chance to share memories and condolences Thursday, October 29th from 4-6 PM at TITUS FUNERAL HOME, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. Following and beginning at 6 PM there will be a service to continue celebrating Susie’s life. Pastor Bill Wood of the Packerton United Methodist Church, Packerton, Indiana will conduct the service.
The family has asked that gifts in Susie’s memory be given to Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, PO Box 1906, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1906.
