Tag L. Hunter, 50, of Leesburg, IN passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at his home. He was born on November 21, 1963 in Bremen, IN to Frederick L. & Joan A. (Porman) Hunter.

He grew up in North Webster, attended Wawasee High School in Syracuse, and lived in Ohio 17 years before returning to the Leesburg / North Webster area. He retired as owner / operator of Hunter Home Improvement in Ohio & Indiana and formerly worked for his father at Hunter Roofing in Leesburg & Bourbon.

He formerly attended the Pentecostal Church in Syracuse. He was North Webster’s 1970 Mermaid Festival Cutie King and loved to collect eagle memorabilia.

He is survived by:
Daughter – Indika Marie Hunter of St. Mary’s, OH
2 Sons – Courtney (Pam Carlin) Knisley of Milford & Isaac Levi Hunter of Wapakoneta, OH
2 Grandchildren – Hunter & Hayden Knisley
Companion – Carla J. (Leamons) Kelley of Leesburg
Father – Fred Hunter of Columbia City, IN
3 Brothers - Rocky Lane (wife, Danette) Hunter of San Antonio, TX; Shad Lynn (Crystal) Hunter of Columbia City; & Lofty Lee (Karen Kokovay) Hunter of New Paris

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating. Burial will follow in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.

Memorial bequest may be given to Tag Hunter Funeral Fund, c/o Owen Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 72, North Webster, IN 46555.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
