Teresa Jo Ogburn

Teresa Jo Ogburn, 53, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 10:05 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Methodist Northlake Hospital in Gary, IN. She was born on October 15, 1964 in Danville, KY to John W. & Civilla G. (Barrett) Simpson.

She grew up in Kentucky, graduated Ohio County High School in Hartford, KY, and Owensboro Community College with a nursing degree. She lived most of her life in Kentucky & Indiana until she moved to the Syracuse permanently 6 years ago. She was married in May 2013 to Kevin R. Ogburn who survives, was a nurse for many years in Kentucky, and at a Fort Wayne Nursing Home.

She attended the Church of the Brethren in North Webster.

She is survived by:

Daughter - Amber Booher of North Webster

Son - Jeremy Simpson of North Webster

3 Step Daughters – Rusta (B.J.) McClellan of Kissimmee FL, Tara (Andrew) Williams & Tosha (Jason) Vargus both of Gainesville, FL

Step Son – Jim (Anita) Hackworth FL

3 Sisters - Jennifer (Jim) Likens of North Webster, Susie Simpson & Cindy (John) Wyatt both of Centertown, KY

2 Brothers - Jack (Cindy) Simpson of North Webster & Gene (Sandra) Simpson of Centertown KY

6 Grand & 5 Step Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter – Autumn Simpson, sister – Janie Simpson, and brother – John Simpson Jr.

Visitation will be from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Church of the Brethren, 7281 E 600 N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in the church with Pastor Bob Wyman officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN is in charge of all arrangements.
