Terrance L. “Terry” McDonald, 72, of New Paris, IN passed away at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at his home. He was born on February 15, 1944 in Kalamazoo, MI to Francis L. & Olive E. (Hunninghake) McDonald.

He was a lifetime Syracuse / New Paris area resident and graduated in 1962 from Syracuse High School. He was married on August 24, 1962 in Syracuse, IN to Vivian Sue “Susie” Rogers who survives. He formerly worked at Sellers Manufacturing in Milford, Patriot Homes in Elkhart, Bison Coach in Milford, and was the former owner / operator of Shamrock Steel in Goshen, IN.

He was a former member of the Wawasee Kiwanis Club in Syracuse.

He is survived by:

Wife – Susie McDonald of New Paris

3 Daughters – Kimberly (Robert) Bradtmiller of Indianapolis, Shauna (Jim) Fought of Topeka, and Cathleen (Tim Walker) Krauter of Syracuse

6 Grandchildren – Amanda, Alyson, Riley, Morgan, Ryan, and Devin

1 Gt. Granddaughter – Emma Belle

3 Bothers – James “Jim” McDonald of Syracuse, Michael (Linda) McDonald of Florence, AL, and Clair McDonald of Phoenix, AZ

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson – Corey Kneller, sister – Patricia Hall, and brother - Harold McDonald.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home. Private family burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be given to the Wawasee Kiwanis Club, P.O. Box 372, Syracuse, IN 46567.
