Thelma Jean Wolfe, 83, passed away December 27, 2014 at 8:25 PM in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
A daughter to Abe and Vina (Vanderpool) Shepherd, Thelma was born December 6, 1931 in Rensselaer, Indiana. She and Wallace Eugene Wolfe were joined in marriage October 25, 1950 in Silver Lake, Indiana. He preceded her in death October 23, 1985.
Living most of her life in the Warsaw area, Thelma, a homemaker, was a former member of Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She loved being with her grandchildren and was an avid Notre Dame fan.
Thelma is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Candy and Toney Owsley, Pierceton; and Deborah and Jeff Charleston of Daleville, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 brother and sister-in-law: Claude and Martha Shepherd, Warsaw.
In addition to her husband, Thelma was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Wayne Shepherd (November 4, 1990), Alex Shepherd, Clyde Shepherd (November 2, 1989) and Charles Shepherd; and 1 sister: Myrtle Younce.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing memories in support of each other Tuesday, December 30th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. A service celebrating the life of Thelma Jean Wolfe will begin then at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Mark Fishburn of First Baptist Church, Pierceton officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in Thelma’s memory be directed to the American Heart Association, 208 S. LaSalle Street, Suite 900, Chicago, Illinois 60604.
