Theo J. Thomas, 84, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on January 25, 1927 in Wolf Lake, IN to Carlton L. & Edna (Galloway) Thomas.
He was a lifetime Syracuse area resident and graduated in 1945 from Syracuse High School. He formerly worked at Brock Bins in Milford, IN for several years & at Weatherhead Corp. in Syracuse for 20 years. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse.
He is survived by:
Daughter- Beckie Thomas of South Bend, IN
Son – Carl (Becky) Thomas of Mishawaka, IN
4 Grand & 11 Gt. Grandchildren
1 Brother – DeWitt Thomas of Syracuse
Lifetime Companion – Phyllis Weaver of Fort Wayne, IN
He is preceded in death by his parents & 1 Gt. Granddaughter – Brooklyn Thomas.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Memorial service will follow on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Herr of the church officiating. Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN.
