Thomas Allen Davis, 63, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 7:15 AM in IU Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Tom was born January 7, 1951 in Warsaw, Indiana to Calvin Eugene and Betty Louise (Biltz) Davis, Sr. He was a Pierceton (Indiana) High School graduate. Tom served his country during the Vietnam War as a United States Navy Seabee.
He and Tammie Duty were married February 20, 1987 in Nappanee, Indiana.
Tom retired in 2006 as a machinist from Zimmer. Also a member, he pastored the Church of Jesus Christ (Warsaw) for 15 years. A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he was a member of Warsaw’s American Legion Post #49. He was an organ donor and a recipient.
Survivors include his wife: Tammie Davis; 2 daughters and a son-in-law: Brittanie Lavonne Davis and Celina (and Adam) Hayslett; granddaughter: Nicole Hayslett – all of Warsaw; 4 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law: Calvin and Becky Davis, Jr., Pierceton; Ken Davis, Pierceton; Dan and Cheryl Davis, Warsaw; and Terry Davis, Warsaw; 2 sisters: Marjean and her husband, Bryan, McClarnon; and Tammy Davis and her partner, Joni Haffner of Pierceton.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: Stan Davis and Larry Davis.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing memories in support of each other Wednesday, November 19th from 10 AM – 12 Noon at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. A service celebrating Tom’s life will follow beginning at 12 Noon. Rev. Gary Paxton of Church of Jesus Christ will officiate. Burial will follow at Pierceton’s Hillcrest Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by Warsaw American Legion #49 and VFW #1126.
The family has asked that gifts in Tom’s memory be given to the family and will be used at their discretion.
