Thomas D. "Tom" Mehl Sr.

Thomas D. "Tom" Mehl Sr., 85, of Milford, IN passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at his home. He was born on May 20, 1934 in Middletown, OH to Douglas A. & Elda (Smallwood) Mehl.

He attended Cromwell High School and lived most of his life in the Cromwell, Ligonier, Syracuse, and Milford areas. He was married on December 31, 1951 in Ligonier, IN to Marcile V. “Marty” Yoder who survives. He retired in 1984 from Serenade Foods in Milford after 5 years and was formerly employed at Barth Motor Homes in Milford for 20 years.

He was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Goshen.

Wife - Marty Mehl of Milford

2 Daughters – Vicki (Ray) Neff of Milford & Gloria Jean (Dave) Moody of Milford

Son – Thomas (Sue) Mehl Jr. of Milford

6 Grand & 9 Gt. Grandchildren

Brother – Jim (Dee Ann) Mehl of Ligonier

He was preceded in death by his parents, great granddaughter - Lillian Grace, 2 sisters – Shirley Lower & Lois Ritter, and 2 brothers – Bill & David Mehl.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Lee Compson of the 1st Brethren Church in Milford officiating. Burial will take place in the Milford Cemetery.
