Thomas D. "Tom" Miller

Thomas D. “Tom” Miller, 62, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 2:22 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Avalon Village Healthcare in Ligonier, IN. He was born on
August 22, 1952 in Elkhart, IN to Roy “Doc” & Mary J. (Robinson) Miller, Jr.

He was a lifetime Syracuse area resident, graduated in 1971 from Wawasee High
School in Syracuse and attended Grand Rapids Community College in Grand Rapids, MI.
He was a United States Army veteran and was married on June 23, 1979 in Kokomo, IN to Jill Elaine Snodgrass who preceded him on June 6, 1991. He was formerly employed at Jasper Plastic Solutions in Syracuse for 2 years and Godfrey Marine in Syracuse for several years.

He formerly attended the Grace Lutheran Church in Syracuse and was a former member of the American Legion Post 223 in Syracuse.

He is survived by:
2 Sons – Travis Miller of Syracuse & Edward (Kacey) Miller of Phoenix, AZ
2 Grandsons - Luke Jack Miller & Travis A. Miller Jr.
Brother – Jon (Mandie) Miller of Leesburg

He was preceded by his parents, wife, & son - Andy Miller

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Memorial services will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home. Military rites will follow the service from the Syracuse American Legion Post 223.
