Thomas E. "Tom" Fisel Jr.

Thomas E. “Tom” Fisel Jr., 60, of Ligonier, IN passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at his home. He was born on July 15, 1957 in Goshen, IN to Thomas E. & Patricia A. “Patty” (Schlemmer) Fisel Sr.

He lived most of his life in Ligonier / Goshen area, graduated in 1977 from West Noble High School, and from Ivy Tech Community College in Elkhart. He retired in 2004 from Indiana State Department and Transportation after 24 years as a truck mechanic.

He is survived by:

Son – Eric (Amanda) Swartz of FL

3 Grandsons

Mother – Mayor Patty Fisel of Ligonier

2 Sisters – Pam (Jerry) Howard of Albion & Teresa (Rick) Linville of Middlebury

Companion – Deborah Jameson of Ligonier

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Gross of the Grace Bible Baptist Church in New Paris officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN.

Preferred memorials may be given to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2211 N Oak Park Ave, Chicago, IL 60707.
