Thomas Edward “Tom” Gaskill, 84, of Milford, IN passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014 in his Englewood, FL winter home after an extended illness. He was born on May 7, 1929 in Mishawaka, IN to Joseph & Marchia (Sheets) Gaskill.
He graduated from Madison Township High School, lived most of his life in the Elkhart County area, and wintered in Florida. He was married to Yvonne Janette Haines who preceded him in death and then remarried on November 14, 2004 in Goshen, IN to Laurine (Haines) Waldbeser who survives. He was a truck driver for 25+ years.
He attended the Ligonier Evangelical Church, Sunnybrook Alliance Church in Englewood, FL and was an avid bowler.
He is survived by:

Son – Mark (Pamela) Gaskill of Sarasota, FL

2 Great Grandchildren – Robin and Paul Bailey & 4 Step Great Grandchildren
Step Daughter – Kay Kuhn of Milford
Step Son – Ben (Deb Skevington) Waldbeser of Milford
Sister – Fran (Sonny) Lazar of Ruskin, FL
2 Brothers – Joseph (Kathy) Gaskill of Lithia, FL & Harold (Mary) Gaskill of Riverview, FL
Nephew – Dennis (Linda) Beadle of Syracuse
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife, Gt. Grandson – Christopher, foster parents – John & Clara Bixler, 3 foster sisters – Vera Beadle, Erma Johnson, and Gladys Wagner.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Ligonier Evangelical Church, 1911 Lincolnway S, Ligonier, IN with Pastor Troy Diersing & Rev. Mitchell Hile officiating. Private family burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
