Thomas W. "Tom" Madden

Thomas W. “Tom” Madden, 73, of Leesburg, IN passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at I.U. Goshen Hospital in Goshen, IN. He was born on June 28, 1941 in Ligonier, IN to Clive & Rose (Seprich) Madden.

He attended public schools in Chicago and lived in the Ligonier / Leesburg area for past 35 years after moving here from Chicago. He formerly owned & operated The Keg in Leesburg for 20 years, pulled RV’s for Hoosier Transit in Nappanee for 10 years, worked at Monsanto in Ligonier and Goldblatts in Chicago.

He was survived by:
3 Daughters – Monica (Brian) Marr of Fox Lake, IL; Deanna (Roy) Gentile of Ingleside, IL; & Melinda Madden of Leesburg, IN
Son – Patrick Thomas Madden of Bridgeview, IL
11 Grand & 4 Gt. Grandchildren
2 Sisters – Mary Lou (Robert) Roberts of Warsaw & Rita Madden of Blue Island, IL
Brother – Richard (Elaine) Madden of Leesburg

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN with Shane Madden officiating. All are welcome to attend a picnic following the memorial services at the Madden home, 5784 E. 450N, Leesburg, IN.

Memorial bequest may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.   Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
