Tommy D. “Tom” Burkett Sr., 73 of Warsaw, IN (formerly of Pierceton, IN) passed away at 4:21 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Warsaw Meadows Care Center in Warsaw, IN. He was born on May 1, 1942 in Martin, KY to Allen & Magdaline (Judd) Burkett.
He attended public schools in Kentucky and moved to the Pierceton area 50 years ago from Kentucky. He formerly worked for Par-Kan, Ameri-Kan, & Lewis Salvage in Warsaw and at various other jobs as a welder.
He is survived by:
3 Daughters – Rhonda Hackworth of Burket, Sondra (Bobby) Warner of Burket, & Susie (Brad) Bibler of Warsaw
3 Sons – Tom (Noeurn Ruot) Burkett Jr. of Warsaw, Glenn (Donna) Burkett of Pierceton, & David (Trina) Burkett of Tippecanoe
9 Grand & 4 Gt. Grandchildren
3 Sisters – Liz (Tim) Campbell of South Whitley, Alice (Jerry) Sparks of Baileyton, TN, Carol (Gordon) Akers of Imlay City, MI
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother – Donald Burkett.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN with no public services to be held. Preferred memorials may be given to the Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, P. O. Box 1196, Warsaw, IN 46581.
