Valerie L. King, of Milford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her residence on Saturday December 11, 2021, at the age of 65.
Born on August 8, 1956, in Ironton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Edwin and Phyllis McFann (Butler). She graduated from Rockhill High School in OH. On September 5, 1995, she was united in marriage to the love of her life Roger King in Goshen, Indiana. She was a hardworking woman and worked at Precision Medical Technology for nine years until retirement.
Family was most important in Valerie’s life. She valued the time spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Although a quiet person, she was very caring and sweet. That is, once she had her morning coffee. Valerie was also an avid reader, enjoying the novels of Danielle Steel and Tom Clancy. She enjoyed shopping, especially at the flea market in Shipshewana. With her addiction to shopping came great presents for Christmas. It was her favorite holiday. She would shop all year round for gifts for her family and friends.
Valerie will be dearly missed by her husband of 26 years, Roger; children, Tara (Larry) Kidd, Bryan (Annie) Prince, Ashley (Doug) Delawder, Kailea (Roy) Peachey, Cordel King, Stephen King and Gideon King; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and aunt, Jackie Massie. She is further survived by many extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lee McFann.
