Vera Kitson

Vera J. Kitson, 92, of Syracuse, died at 6:35 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2008 in Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse. She was born on June 28, 1915 in Dwight, IL to John Elmer & Anna (Jones) Williamson.
She graduated in 1932 from New Paris High School. On June 26, 1937 in Goshen, IN she married James W. Kitson, who survives. She was a lifetime Elkhart & Kosciusko County are resident. She was a homemaker, assisted on the family farm, and formerly worked at Pettit's Clothing Store and G & W Pizza both formerly of Syracuse.
She was a member of the St. Andrew's United Methodist Church and lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star in Goshen.
She is survived by :

1 Daughter - Mrs. Vincent (Charmaine A.) Doyle of Elk Grove, CA
1 Son - Phillip (wife, Lorraine) Kitson of Celina, OH
5 Grand, 8 Gt. Grand, & 9 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 Sister - Iola Hadley, & 1 Brother - Duane Williamson.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN with Rev. Michael L. Neff officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours (11:00a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery.
